The second K-Space Jamboree workshop in semantic inference for semi-automatic annotation and retrieval of multimedia content - will be held on 25th July 2008 in
Paris, France. It will be hosted by the TELECOM ParisTech. The intent of this one-day workshop is to encourage collaborations and
integration among PhD students involved in the K-Space project.

The workshop program will feature a plenary demo session as well as poster sessions in parallel tracks. Participants are encouraged to present an overview of their work in order to evaluate potential collaboration activities. The topics addressed in this workshop include, but are not restricted to

- Content-based multimedia analysis
- Multimedia systems and interfaces

Best Paper/Poster Competition: There will be a best paper/poster competition for the research work presented during the workshop. The initial nominations will be recommended by peer reviewing. Such nominations will be reviewed by the Jamboree Programme Committee and score extra points. During the workshop, the posters will be voted by the participants (using stickers). The poster with maximum number of stickers will be selected as the "Best Poster of Jamboree Workshop 2008".

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of not more than two (2) pages including results, figures and references. Papers will be accepted only by electronic
submission at http://phdjamboree.semantic-multimedia.org/openconf.php on or before 27th June 2008.

| Papers should be formatted according to the template presented in the authors kit. Please read the entire formatting guidelines to verify that your paper document is formatted accordingly and that you have all the information you need before starting your paper submission. |

| Review |
| |
|
Submitted papers will be reviewed by the participants. The objective of the review is NOT TO REJECT but to provide feedback and comments to the participating authors, which will enable the authors to make a high-quality paper submission to the Workshop.

| Participation |
| |
|
The workshop will contain two poster sessions (refer to the programme for detailed information) in which participating authors are required to present a Poster (A1 Portrait). The details of the Poster session will be published later in the programme session. The Workshop will NOT contain any Oral session. However, the participants can be involved in a lively discussion of future collaborations and integration in the Hacking Session along with real time hacking if possible.
